Author's Note: Minus the Desert Heat (lol)
That mild wisps of air,
floating through the atmosphere,
running in the directions unheard of,
carrying a message I sent to you.
Yet you were far away to hear my voice
call your name,
it was like a sadness calling,
searching but farther away,
I'd search high and low for you,
yet couldn't find you.
So I let the that breeze carry my message,
the message you longed to hear.
I waited by the shore,
feeling the ocean's breeze,
gently touching my skin,
feeling eased,
as it went through my hair.
I stayed there until the sun
said goodbye,
turning on the light to the lighthouse,
hoping you would come my way.
Then at last I felt that same summer breeze I sent you
returning to me.
I couldn't see you until you waved your arms high,
until the light came your way,
I saw you and my heart was overwhelmed,
I didn't think I'd feel the same breeze again.
You swam the rest of the way to meet me,
you saw my tears and held me close
whispering, I missed you soo much,
don't cry, I'm hear now.
Both happy in the arms of love
the breeze filled the air again
now that he once again with his beautiful warmth
melted my cold heart.
